                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO IMPOSE ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS UPON CERTAIN
                   TRACTS OF LAND LOCATED BETWEEN THE 1300-1700
                   BLOCKS OF BAILEY AVENUE, MORE PARTICULARLY
                   DESCRIBED HEREIN, PRESENTLY ZONED R-4 SPECIAL
                   ZONE WITH CONDITIONS TO R-4 SPECIAL ZONE WITH
                   CONDITIONS SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING ADDITIONAL
                   CONDITIONS AND TO REZONE CERTAIN TRACTS OF LAND
                   LOCATED WITHIN THE 1800 BLOCK OF BAILEY AVENUE
                   (NORTHSIDE ONLY), MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED
                   HEREIN, PRESENTLY ZONED R-4 SPECIAL ZONE WITH
                   CONDITIONS TO R-4 SPECIAL ZONE WITH CONDITIONS
                   SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
              Properties located at 1300 to 1700 Blocks of Bailey
              Avenue described as Tax Map Nos. 146J-B-24, 146J-B-23,
              146J-B-22, 146J-B-21, 146J-21.01, 146J-B-20, 146J-B-19,
              146J-C-1, 146J-C-2, 146J-C-3, 146J-C-4, 146J-C-5,
              146J-C-6, 146J-C-7, 146J-H-6, 146J-H-5, 146J-H-4,
              146J-H-3, 146J-H-2, 146J-H-1, 146J-C-8, 146J-C-9,
              146J-C-10, 146J-C-12, 146J-C-13, 146J-C-14, 146J-G-24,
              146J-G-25, 146J-G-26, 146J-G-27, 146J-G-28, 146J-G-29,
              146J-G-30, 146J-G-31, 146J-H-26, 146J-H-25, 146J-H-24,
              146J-H-23, 146J-H-30, 146J-H-29, 146J-H-27, 146J-H-28,

         from "R-4 Special Zone with Conditions", to "R-4 Special Zone 
with
         Conditions, subject to the following additional conditions":
              	   1.	No two family dwellings (duplexes);
        
              	   2.	No multi-family (three or more units/apartments)
              	   	dwellings;
        
              	   3.  	No lodging houses, boarding houses, or bed and
              	   	breakfast;
        
              	   4.	No dormitories; and
        
              	   5.	No hospitals or nursing homes.
        
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, that Ordinance No. 

         6958, as amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the 
same
         is hereby amended so as to rezone:
                Properties located at the northern section of the
                1800 Block of Bailey Avenue described as Tax Map
                Nos. 146J-T-33, 146J-T-28, 146J-T-27, and
                146J-T-26.
               
         from "R-4 Special Zone with Conditions", to "R-4 Special Zone 
with
         Conditions, subject to the following additional conditions":
              	   1.	No lodging houses, boarding houses, or bed and
              	   	breakfast;
        
              	   2.	No dormitories;
        
              	   3.	No fraternal, professional or hobby clubs; and
        
              	   4.	No hospitals or nursing homes.	   09

              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         provided by law.
